About The Delta Lake Triathlon
The Whistler Turkey Trot is a beloved mountain-trail run held each autumn in Lost Lake Park near Whistler, British Columbia, offering both a 5 km Drumstick Dash and a 10 km Gravy Burner for 2022. The 2022 edition on October 9 delivered runners through forest-lined single-track and scenic gravel paths surrounded by fall foliage and towering pines, combining a sense of adventure with accessibility. This event is part of Whistler’s Thanksgiving weekend tradition, giving participants a chance to burn some turkey-day energy amid the majestic alpine setting of the Sea-to-Sky corridor. The start/finish area at the Passive Haus in Lost Lake Park served as a community hub, where trail-runners, families, and spectators gathered for post-race snacks and celebration. With the charity component benefitting local causes and the relaxed, friendly atmosphere, the race offers more than just a finish line—it offers a full experience of joy, nature, and movement.
For participants, this event provides a chance to run or jog in one of BC’s most gorgeous trail systems while enjoying a festival-style community event.
It stands out because it merges mountain-trail aesthetics, inclusive distance options, and the warm-up to a holiday weekend in one memorable run.

Why We Love Delta Lake Triathlon
We were proud to support an event where community engagement, natural beauty, and athletic achievement come together in harmony. Designing the custom medals for this race allowed us to honour every individual’s journey through the forested trails and celebrate their finish amid the vibrant Whistler landscape.
- A Partnership Forged in Passion
From the first sketches to the final polished finish, our collaboration with the Whistler Turkey Trot team was grounded in shared enthusiasm for adventure, community, and design excellence. Working alongside organisers who pour their hearts into creating such a welcoming, high-energy event made every creative step a joy.
- Honouring Every Finish Line
For the 2022 edition, we set out to craft custom medals that feel earned—pieces that mirror the grit of the climbs, the laughter echoing through the forest, and the satisfaction of crossing the line surrounded by nature. Each medal was designed as a tribute to perseverance and joy, capturing the runner’s journey from first stride to finish-line smile.
- Inspired by Whistler’s Autumn Magic
Lost Lake’s trails, painted with fall colours and framed by snow-dusted peaks, provided endless inspiration. The environment’s balance of calm and challenge guided our design choices, from the earthy tones to the dynamic lines echoing the flow of the course. We wanted every finisher to hold a medal that felt like a fragment of Whistler itself—a token infused with mountain air and memory.
In conclusion, our work on the 2022 Whistler Turkey Trot medals proves that awards can embody more than recognition—they become symbols of adventure, community, and personal triumph. We’re honoured to have contributed to an event where every finish line resonated not just with time, but with meaning, mountain air, and shared celebration.
